Sitting In Front of the Building

I am knitting my second scarf using a basketweave pattern stitch. I am using the turquoise wool yarn I purchased this month from Smiley’s internet yarn sale. So far this scarf is 6 inches wide and about 40 inches long. I think I will make it 60 inches long. I like 60 inch long scarves for some reason. I ordered 8 skeins so I may be able to knit another scarf.

I am also knitting an afghan using the basketweave pattern. Red Heart soft yarn Mid Blue is the yarn I chose for the afghan. Today, I started picking out items to list in a treasury for Etsy. At this time, I haven’t joined any Etsy teams. I was asked to join the team Shops but I’m still thinking about it.

Due to my mobility disability, I have difficulty climbing stairs. Some buildings are not easily accessible to me.Tomorrow, I will probably find myself once again sitting outside a building in my wheechair when I would like to be inside. I am going to my former workplace. I will have the opportunity to see many people I haven’t seen in several years.

The building is a five story brownstone. I worked in that building for twelve years from 1988- 2000. There are only a few stairs at the entrance. But I doubt I can manage the stairs safely because is no ramp.

Even, if I managed to get inside, the elevator is not safe to use. As long as it doesn’t rain it shouldn’t be a problem for me to sit in front of the building for an hour or two. I’ll be able to see everyone and also get some fresh air. But I would much rather be inside with everyone else since the event is not a street fair or a block party.
